Management L3

You will be assigned a dedicated Assessor who will visit on average every 2-3 weeks at a time suitable to you. Your AtE Assessor will support and guide you throughout your qualification.
Your qualification will include various assessments, including observations and guided discussions, which for your ease, we’ll record for you. Most of the assessment process can be completed electronically; so you won’t have heaps of paperwork.

The Certificate in Management L3 is aimed at recognising the skills and competences of candidates in the workplace.

This qualification provides individuals with an opportunity to demonstrate the skills and knowledge needed for a career in Management and Leadership. The units encompass a broad range of competencies from the Management and Leadership sector.

The qualification will provide learners with introductory business functional areas from which they may achieve competence in a variety of contexts.

To achieve a full Level 3 NVQ Certificate in Management, candidates must gain 25 credits. 14 of these must come from the achievement of the three mandatory units and 11 from the optional units:

• 14 credits must be completed from x3 MANDATORY UNITS; and,

• 11 credits must come from OPTIONAL UNITS


MANDATORY UNITS (14 credits)

• M1 – Manage own professional development within an organisation (A2)
(4 credits, 20 guided learning hours)

• M2 – Set objectives and provide support for team members (B5)
(5 credits, 35 guided learning hours)

• M3 – Plan, allocate and monitor work of a team (D5)
(5 credits, 25 guided learning hours)


The remaining credits come from a varied range of OPTIONAL UNITS chosen with your assessor and workplace.

No academic qualifications are required to undertake this course. Minimum age 18 years.

Learners must be in a supportive office-based role. Numeracy & Literacy assessment. Please see eligibility criteria for appropriate fees.
